Don't you love how sweet your kids are when they wake up.
That sleepy little smile....

Almost anything elicits a laugh from them.....

Except of course, Mommy trying to take pictures...

The Pine Needle Dance ???

Izzy's Chinese name, Ting, means slim and graceful which is hysterical because she is neither. The poor darlin wipes out on a regular basis. She has been known to trip over a line in a parking lot. Well, lately she has been all into dancing. And all of her dances have a name such as the naked dance (after bath time), the elmo squirrel dance (you know the show Elmo's World on PBS Sesame Street - she swears they are saying Elmo Squirrel instead of Elmo's World), the mailbox dance (on the way to the mailbox and back) and on and on and on. All day long, she's dancing. It's very sweet. Yesterday by the pool, I was privileged to witness the pine needle dance. I rushed and grabbed my camera because I knew this would be too cute to pass up and the band aids and neosporin. Just in case :) Ok, without further adieu......

" Ta da!!!!! " She says. And not one lesson. Can you imagine? And we didn't need the bandaids....

Tea Time...

Isn't it amazing what a little girl can do to a big ole tough guy????

Have you ever seen a butterfly this beautiful ??

Ok, I know I can't be objective here, but come on isn't she the most beautiful thing......

My heart bursting and breaking

My friend Nancy said that in a email to me last night and it dawned on me that this was exactly how I was feeling. My heart was bursting with pride and breaking because my little (big) boy was leaving for boot camp.
Rye with his sweetheart, Kayla. These two are inseparable.
This is going to be a long eight weeks for them :)

What a sweet look !! Can you tell she loves him ?

It seems like just yesterday he was a 5 lb preemie.....

I'm going to miss him so much.
On the bright side at least we'll have food in the house for 8 weeks.

Lord, this is a boy that cannot put his towels in the dirty clothes,
Please be with him....

The Art Auction was a big success.... Thanks to You !!

Thank you so much for coming out to our first Izzy's Dream Silent Art Auction. We appreciate you partnering with us to be a blessing to the children of Hidden Treasures Home.

We had such an overwhelming amount of art donated that we plan to have another auction sometime in the fall. We had a wonderful time, the art was outstanding, the music was incredible, the food was yummy and the company was awesome.

It was so nice to see our community come together for this project. To all the artists that donated to us, we could not have done this without you. Thank you for giving generously of your talents. To all of those that helped us set up, take down and run the event, thank you for giving generously of your time and to all of you that came to buy art and donate to this ministry, thank you for giving generously of your treasures. We are all called to help the orphans in this world and it's beautiful to see it all come together in such a way that brings glory to God.

Blessings to you and your family,
